Task fields
Task fields describe what needs preparing or checking. For example, a reception team can record the number of badges to print on each relevant task.
You need permission to manage checklist fields.
Add a field to tasks
- Open Settings → Checklists → Fields.
- Select Add a field in the Fields tab.
- Enter “Badges to print” in Label and choose Type → Number.
- Set its default visibility and whether it is required.
- Select Create field.
The field adds information to a task; it does not become the checklist’s name. The same field types are available as for events.
Prepare field sets
Under Field sets, select New field set, name it, then select Save. Add the fields using the buttons with their names, then adjust Shown and Required. These changes save immediately.
Open the relevant event template or event settings, then Checklists. Choose the set under Field sets and select Save. If no other set is chosen, Default applies.
This choice applies to tasks across the event’s checklists; it is not selected separately for each checklist.
The Field sets selector appears after at least one set has been created for this module. If you cannot see it, check that the set was saved in the organisation settings.
A field not configured in the set retains its definition’s defaults. To hide it, add it to the set and turn off Shown; removing it from the set returns it to the defaults.
Check a task
In a checklist belonging to the relevant event, start a task and check the information offered. If a field is missing, check the event’s selected set before creating a second field with the same name.
To define a task’s progress, use task statuses.
