Create your first event
Prepare your first date without creating a template first. In this example, you will open the draft of a concert scheduled for 12 November at 20:00.
You must have joined or created an organisation and have permission to create events. If New event is unavailable, ask someone who manages access to check your permissions.
Start from scratch
Open Events, then New event, and choose Start from scratch. You do not need a template, timeline or teams prepared in advance.
Enter the details
- Under Details, enter the Event name, Date and Reference time: for example, “November concert”, on 12 November at 20:00.
- Check the suggested Event lead or Event leads and complete the required fields, marked with an asterisk.
- Check the Time zone if this choice is available. Otherwise, the event uses your organisation’s time zone.
- Select Next.
The reference time is the event’s main time marker. Here, it is when the show begins; preparation can start earlier.
Choose teams and participants
Under Teams, select those taking part, if you already have any. You can continue without a team.
Under Participants, add the people already known to your organisation who will take part in this event and check their access. You can complete this list later.
Select Next after each step.
Choose modules
Under Modules, enable the tools you need for this event. Disabling a module removes it from the event’s navigation; its content is not deleted. You can enable it again later.
Create and open the draft
- Select Create event.
- The confirmation shows your event as a Draft. No participant has been notified of its creation.
- Select Open event to continue preparing it.
The draft is accessible to its creator and to people authorised to view or supervise all events in the organisation. It is not open to other participants yet.
Move to preparation is a separate action: it opens the event according to the assigned access and may trigger notifications depending on the settings and recipients’ preferences. To keep working on your draft, choose Open event.
Your first date is created. When you want to reuse your preparation, event templates will help you prepare your usual formats.
